- How can you benefit from the e-learning component?
First of all, it is a fun learning experience. Second, it will get you up to speed on the basics of learning design, so that we can assume you know this when you come to the face-to-face course. Third, you will learn all about the learning design process which forms the basis for the group-work in the face-to-face component. Moreover, this dynamic learning material is useful for every professional in our business. Here are some of the features:
Listen to famous learning style researcher David Kolb as he gives his
unique perspective on learning design.
Learn from BBC Interactive's Andrew Law about how formats will play a
crucial role for learning in the future.
Experience renowned distance learning visionary Tony Bates as he explains
the elements of effective learning design.
Take a journey through three , short multimedia presentations on the
learning design process.
- What does the e-learning component entail?
The e-learning course contains the materials for the workshop. Before the face-to-face component beginning on December 3, we expect you to review Modules
1-3 and also to complete the Post-test which will allow you to gauge your understanding of learning design concepts in general. From now until the beginning of the course in Hanoi, you can go through these materials at your own pace, in preparation for the face-to-face sessions. Don't worry about modules 4-8, they will be introduced during the sessions in Hanoi. So please ensure you do the following before arriving at the face-to-face session on Dec 3:

Take the post-test (quiz)
Read the welcome message from your facilitator and respond by (a)
introducing yourself (b) stating two expectations you have for the
